The neck is fantastic great set up, great variety of sounds. I have a Traynor 40w valve amp that is being fixed at the moment so I plugged into an older Hughes and Ketner 50w transistor amp that has an OK clean channel and a pretty ordinary drive channel. I usually just wind the clean up to 10 and use the master for volume and it gets a good broken up bitey sound from a strat, for a driven sound I add an off the shelf overdrive pedal, well I plugged the Kokocaster in (no pedals) using the hbucker and couldn't believe the drive and tone it sounded so "real" it left the other set up way behind. Just flick it to the neck position and it had a great clean "bell" like sound, this amp has never sounded this good. I can't wait to get the valve amp back, with this guitar it's sound will really fill a room. I am not a professional musician or anything but the Kokocaster will get played at our Mayor's concert this Saturday night as my fiancee (she plays guitar and sings) and I are representing the local songwriting group we are members of, it's not Madison Square Gardens but if someone takes some pics I'll send you one. | Hello! Last week I purchased a Kokocaster from Nick's Guitar Emporium. I love the axe, it's what I hoped it would be. (I've never bought a guitar b4 w/o playing it) I love the nicely finished frets and how everything is bound. I've been playing for over 35 years. I've owned everything from no-names to Fenders, Alembics, Shadow, and even an original Surfcaster, back in the day. This is as nice as any of them, and at a very fair price. | Heya - just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how happy I am with my recent GRB Kokocaster purchase from Nicks Guitar Emporium. I'd been stalking these guitars online for a couple of years, and finally decided to pull the trigger on one. BOY am I glad I did!! I've always been a Fender guy[Strats/Teles]but I must say I do believe this Kokocaster will be my new number one guitar for live and studio work......just amazing. Thank you for such an incredible product, at an affordable price.......I almost feel like I've stolen this thing!!
